From Our Kitchen To Yours

Every holiday, our kitchen sounds the same: a pot whispering on low, a wooden spoon tapping a beat, someone laughing over the first taste that “needs just a pinch.”

Tasty Treasures has always been our way to pass those sounds, smells, traditions, and little secrets – one recipe at a time – from the LNC family to yours.

And, yes, GPTía is back at the table, ready to help you explore decades of treasured family recipes from LNC colleagues past and present. Ask her for a dish, a menu, an idea – she knows the collection by heart. This year, she brought a little something new: On a few favorites (like the pozole), she’ll come alive and let you see the flavor before you even taste it. Just look for GPTía’s wink on certain dishes. That’s her cue that she’s ready to show off. You’ll know it when you see it!

Ask, browse, cook, and pass the bowl. Our traditions taste best when they’re shared. From the Lopez Negrete family to yours, wishing you a holiday filled with warmth, flavor, and the people who make both matter most.

Con cariño,

Peruvian Ceviche

Contributed by Jose Quijano (2014), the  bright, citrusy, and visually stunning—the leche de tigre, the glistening fish, and those colorful onions and chiles make beautiful on-camera moments.

Main Dish

Pork & Chorizo Pozole

Contributed by Yvette Leon (2018), the Pozole is pure holiday comfort across many Latino homes. Hominy, rich broth, and the chorizo-pork combo—plus the colorful garnish bar—film beautifully.

Polvorones

Contributed by Gilda Noyola (2017), these traditional crumbly cookies are a holiday staple across Latin America and Spain. Simple ingredients, nostalgic flavors, and that final sugar dusting make for lovely, cozy visuals.
