Beso de Angel

BY Gerry Loredo

Ingredients Kahlua®
Sweetened condensed milk (La Lechera® is best)
Beso de Angel is Spanish for Angel's Kiss. The kiss comes from the effect that happens in the shot glass after a small sip is taken. The Kahlua, which is lighter than the condensed milk, will begin to seep upward creating a visual effect of puckered lips kissing. Thus the name. In a short shot glass (or small after-dinner drink glass), fill to about one half with Kahlua. Then, VERY GENTLY AND CAREFULLY pour the condensed milk so that it settles on TOP of the Kahlua. If you pour too quickly it will "break through" the Kahlua barrier and ruin the effect. Try tilting the glass as you pour. Once the shots are poured, they can be brought out as an after-dinner drink or a small sweet treat. Take the shot glass, take a quick small drink until you taste the Kahlua, and then stop and put the shot glass down. You should see the lips kissing you back!
